New round of cakes!!!
Here we go again, ha, ha. I've done so many cakes these last few months and have had a blast. I have more to come, many birthdays lie ahead :)

The baby shower cake for my sister. She loves monkeys ;) |
I auctioned off a cake to raise some funds for my kid's school. The recipient wanted a cake that looked like the "Spring" cake I made before |
Another Angry Bird cake for the little brother of the one I made before. ha, ha |
A cake that was won by a raffle at church. She wanted a small girlie cake, she loved it! |

My little fun turned into a passion
For those that know me, know that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sweets-especially baked goods. This fun hobby of mine has turned into a passion of sorts. For example, every holiday season I put together a goody bag with an assortment of baked goods from cookies to loaf breads and lots of in-betweens. My kitchen is often a mess, and I blame my lack of weight loss on this hobby-ha, ha. A few years back, right after moving to Vegas, I was feeling down because I missed AZ, silly I know, but that's how it was. I decided I wanted to try my hand at cake decorating. Jason took a class in college and I helped (ha, ha) him with his homework. I took that experience and applied it to cookies. I loved decorating cookies, and had found that I do pretty well in that area, so I wanted to give it a try on cakes. Right off the bat I was having fun. What started out as a little experiment has now turned into a great passion for creating art on yummy blank icing canvas. I have attached some pics of the cakes I have made and a little blurb about each one. Enjoy ;)
Bear with me on this cake-it was too cool for just a front shot. The guest of honor was turning 50 and around the cake we put her likes, what make her who she is and family. It still is one of my favorite pieces.
The next 4 were some of the last made in Las Vegas, prior to moving back to the Phoenix area.
Ciera's ballerina cake. This is about the time I started playing with different cake batters and figuring out how to add my own flare to them.
Played again with the chocolate mousse whipped frosting, along with my chocolate fudge cake and chocolate chip filling. Introducing my "Death-by-Chocolate" cake!
Made these cakes for the Relief Society's birthday party for my Church. Here the Chocolate frosting cake was the introduction for my Rasberry Neopolitian cake-to die for-sooooo yummy!!! My friend has ordered this cake about 3 times now.
My very 1st wedding cake. The bride wanted Musical notes and very simple cake-not to showing and very minimal. TADA! I think it turned out great! Here I used the Rasberry filling from my Neopolitian cake along with my chocolate fudge cake-soooo good!

The decor all made out of fondant, and the frosting as always my fave-whipped cream frosting (so light and tasty).
Like I said, my hobby has turned into a passion. If I get a call to make a cake, I will see if my schedule's clear to hopefully design a great cake. So here is just another snippet of me ;).
